Besides writing epic novels for young folks, she is quite active [this is possibly an understatement!] in advocating for various issues affecting Writers of Color, including the inequity in pay-outs from publishers.

We will be talking about her work, the craft, but also how her hashtag #PublishingPaidMe [which she started with Tochi Onyebuchi] made big waves, bouncing off and amplified by the #BlackLivesMatter moment.
